Volkswagen will build 5th plant in China
Volkswagen wants to become a market leader in China with the construction of the 5th factories.
Volkswagen plans to build its fifth factory in China to become a leader on the largest automobile market in the world, ahead of Japanese manufacturer Toyota, according to Chinese publications, said.
And local partner FAW VW will build a factory in Guangzhou city in southern China, a major industrial region, close to Hong Kong.
The new plant will initially produce at least 200,000 units per year and will mark the entry into the Chinese market Spanish brand Seat.
Volkswagen and FAW Group already operates four factories in cities Shanghai, Nanjing, Changchun and Chengdu, where cars are produced and Jetta, Bora, Golf, Sagitar and Audi.
