Volkswagen takes 49.9% stake in Porsche

Volkswagen has paid 3.9 billion euros for 49.9% of the shares of Porsche. Volkswagen has announced that acquires 49.9% stake in Porsche, as a first step towards integration of Suttgart company in a number of German auto group.

The merger process between the two companies will end in 2011, but Volkswagen officials have said that the developments so far are very encouraging for both sides.

VW announced again that will remain independent and will respect the interests of the company Porsche. VW Group paid 3.9 billion euros for 49.9% of Porsche.
