Ferrari 599 GTB hybrid is going to be officially presented this week at the Geneva Motor Show.

Ferrari 599 GTB hybrid is the first hybrid model from Ferrari. These are photos of supercar's first hybrid. The pictures were made to stand Ferrari before the official opening of the Geneva Motor Show.

599 GTB new model will be incorporated hybrid KERS system (kinetic energy recovery system) used in 2009 by Italian Scuderia F1 championship. The batteries are loaded in braking or deceleration. The car will never run only the electric motor, it only serves to reduce consumption.

The 599 GTB will have reduced consumption by up 35% compared to the standard model. So Ferrari 599 GTB with a V12 engine, will move from a consumption of 27 litres/100 km in only 17 litres/100 km.

The new 599 GTB hybrid will use two electric motors, one to act outside wheel in curves, and the other will use the energy gained from the KERS system.
