Ferrari prepares for the Geneva Motor Show, the first hybrid model. The new hybrid model will be based on the 599 GTB, V12 also from an electric motor based on Li-Ion batteries.

The new hybrid model will take the 599 GTB asemeanea incorporated and system KERS (kinetic energy recovery system) used in 2009 by Italian Scuderia F1 championship.

The system will function as the monoposturile F1 batteries are loaded in braking or deceleration. The car will never run on electric motor only, it having only the role of reducing consumption.

Because use of KERS technology, model 599 GTB will have reduced consumption by up 35% compared to the standard model. So Ferrari 599 GTB with a V12 engine, will move from a consumption of 27 litres/100 km in only 17 litres/100 km.
