Pirelli Eco Technology, the company Pirelli, which plays an active role in controlling emissions from diesel engines, began selling its particulate filters in Germany and the Benelux. Pirelli filters, made with the technology of silicon carbide can reduce over 95% particulate emissions from diesel vehicles.
The entry of Pirelli in the markets of Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will take place in a first phase through the sale of filter systems for heavy vehicles already in circulation as buses, vehicles industrial and earth-moving machinery. In Belgium and the Netherlands in particular, Pirelli will use the collaboration of the Dutch distributor Topcat, with which the company has established a strategic partnership.
After the launch last July of a pilot project for tests on heavy vehicles belonging to the Municipality of Beijing, made in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Environment, international expansion Pirelli Eco Technology - already present in Europe Italy, France and the UK - continues.
The filters Pirelli Eco Technology are manufactured in a factory in Arese (Milan) and will soon also occur in Romania. They are certified in Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and are being tested for certification in Germany.
