Official: Audi RS5 Debut in Geneva
Germans from Ingolstadt have released details of the new Audi RS5.
Once scanned images of the new Audi RS5 filled special publications, Ingolstadt has come to a line that brings clarification and additional data. Absolute novelty is that the Audi RS5 will debut in Geneva in a month plus shipping and this is the official data about the engines and transmission new model.
The V8 naturally aspirated 4.2-liter remains the option of Ingolstdt for the new Audi RS5. However, thanks to modern technology, it is improved and has 450 hp and 430 Nm. Maximum power is achieved at 8250 rpm and maximum torque is available between 4000 and 6000 rpm.
Audi RS5 has an acceleration of 4.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h and a top speed of 250 km / h.
A constant strong philosophy of Audi models is fitted with quattro system, but to deoseebire previous models which were equipped with Torsen differential, RS5 will be equipped with new electronic control system that can distribute torque from the basic deck 40:60 front to the rear, up to 75 or even 80% for the rear axle. A vector of power distribution system is available as an option.
The only transmission available for RS5 remain seven-speed automatic gearbox, S-Tronic DCT, which apparently will replace the transmission and existence on the R8.
RS5 will debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show and will reach European markets soon thereafter, at a basic price of 77,000 Euro.
