New 1.6TDI Engines for Audi A3 and A3 Sportback

Audi has announced it will team models Audi A3 and A3 Sportback with two new common-rail engines, diesel.

The most powerful engine of new generation 1.6l TDI, developing 105 HP and a torque of 230 Nm engine. This comes in combination with new systems Audi start and stop and the recovery of energy. With this equipment, an Audi A3 throttle reaches from 0 to 100 km / h and a maximum speed of 194 km / h just in 11.4 seconds. The average consumption is 4.1 liters of diesel per 100 km reading. The other variant 1.6 TDI developing 90 HP and ensures a model A3 throttle from 0 to 100 km / h in 12.9 seconds. Maximum speed is 180 km / h. This model does not fit in any system start / stop and even the recovery of energy, previously existing model.

Also, consumption is higher, that is 4.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 118 grams per kilometer.

Audi A3 1.6 TDI is available in Europe at a base price of 22,550 Euros for the 90 HP version and 23,550 Euros for the 105 HP. Those who want the Sportback 5-door, will be forced to out of pocket an additional 900 Euro.
