Fiat 500 will be Equipped with New 0.9-Liter Turbo Engine

Fiat has announced that 2010 will be released the new 0.9 liter turbo engine of two cylinders. The new engine will be available initially on the Fiat 500.

The new engine will have the same performance as the four cylinders, but consumption and lower CO2 emissions.

Fiat said the new engine will have CO2 emissions below 100 g / km. The new engine will use technology from Fiat MultiAir, but turbo system to produce 80, respectively 105 hp from an engine of just 0.9 liters.

Fiat will also launch the Fiat 500 model and four-cylinder engine of 65 hp MultiAir. The new 0.9-liter engine will find after launch and the Fiat Panda and Punto models Evo. Performance is due to marry the new engine weight, which is 20% lighter than the 4-cylinder.
