Dongfeng: in 2012 the arrival of hybrid and electric

The Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng announced that during 2012 will launch its first hybrid models and electric on international markets. The house will then face the challenge in a concrete way of alternative propulsion.

And not content to ads that may remain a dead letter, since it has already officially a budget of some 345 million euros to support this ambitious program.

The goal is to get Dongfeng to sell in 2015 100.000 50,000 electric and hybrid cars a year. In other words, 20% of the house will be characterized by alternative propulsion systems.

The manufacturer has tightened in recent joint venture agreements with major international manufacturers such as Peugeot-Citroen, Nissan, Honda and Kia. It is not inconceivable that some partners may benefit from the progress that the Chinese will in the coming years on the electric field ...
