WYDOT is dedicated to promoting safe use of all Wyoming roadways with the continuing goal of reducing fatalities, injuries and property damage crashes by means of the "Three Es" - engineering, education and enforcement - along with the promotion of various training programs.
The Highway Safety Program maintains Wyoming's crash reporting database and compiles and analyzes safety-related statistics. Also available is information about motorcycle operator training opportunities. The Owner/Operator Crash Form is required by law.
Ultimately, individual driver awareness is still the key to preventing crashes. Drivers and passengers alike should always remember to buckle up, observe posted speed limits and other traffic laws, and never drive when impaired by drugs, alcohol or fatigue.
