Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is committed to making travel as safe as possible for motorists on our state roadways. Through community safety awareness campaigns, we strive to educate the public on what they can do to make travel safe for them and their families.
TxDOT's workforce of more than 12,000 employees is made up of engineers, administrators, designers, architects, sign makers, accountants, purchasers, maintenance workers, travel counselors and many other professions.
Headquartered in Austin, TxDOT is made up of 21 divisions and 6 offices that support 25 geographical districts around the state.
