The Morris Police Department currently has four NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. The CPS Technicians can assist you in the correct installation of Child Passenger Safety restraints and have installed over 125 car seats. Illinois Law requires children under eight years of age MUST be secured in an approved child restraint system, more commonly referred to as a child safety seat. The child safety seat includes infant seats, convertible seats (rear and forward facing), and booster seats. It is crucial to have the child safety seats, correctly installed, so they are beneficial to the children who ride in them. Our CPS Technician can assist you in the correct and proper installation and use of child safety seats.
