What is ABC, SRS, SIPS, PRS, ITC & IC?
ABC (Active Body Control)
Active control of the body. It is an active suspension system with Mercedes, which compensates for variations in the body exits, braking and cornering track.
SRS (Supplementary Restraint System)
(Supplementary Restraint System) supplemental restraint system, more commonly known as airbags. Is only effective in combination with seat belts.
SIPS (Side Impact Protection System)
(Side Impact Protection System) protection system for side impacts of Volvo, which incorporates the side airbag of the seats.
PRS (Pedal Release System)
(Pedal Release System) System Opel, which retracts the pedals of the vehicle in the event of a collision to prevent injuries in the lower limbs.
ITC (Inflatable Tubular Structure)
(Inflatable Tubular Structure) inflatable tubular structure. Airbag for the head, employed by BMW. It is a cylinder that inflates diagonally on the moon from the front doors, to protect the head.
IC (Inflatable Courtain)
(Inflatable Courtain) inflatable curtain. Airbag head employed by Volvo.
