Sergio Marchionne announces merger of Chrysler-Lancia
At the end of this year will begin the merger of Chrysler and Lancia intgre. Chrysler will suffer major changes in coming years, restructuring and reorganization of the U.S. company owned by Fiat will begin at the end of 2010.
Sergio Marchionne (photo), CEO of Fiat and Chrylser, announced the merger between Chrysler and Lancia will begin at the end of this year.
Chrysler Group brands will enter the European market, especially to cover the gaps that Lancia has it some market segments. In addition, within the range Chrysler U.S. will be extended by launching Lancia models on the North American market.
Sergio Marchionne has alleged that the merger between Chrysler and Lancia is required as soon as possible so that the two entities to cover the holes that are mutually inefficient market. Marchionne claims that together, the two brands will be a whole, with a extensive range of models of all sizes.
