Rolls-Royce Statue Celebrates 100 Years

The statue that adorns the hood of every Rolls-Royce model turns 100 years old and probably the best known brand in the world of limousines hired famous photographer Rankin to create a collection of images dedicated to this event.
100 years ago, Charles Robinson Sykes created the statue that defines any model produced by Rolls-Royce. To celebrate this event, brand portfolio that are currently in the BMW Group has hired famous photographer Rankin to create a grouping of 100 original photographs on the statue.
From this series of pictures, Rankin has used it as a model wife, Tuula Shipster. Thus, the artist is trying to create a parallel in time, the original statue was dedicated in turn to a woman, Eleanor Velasco Thornton.
The exhibition Rankin: Spirit of Ecstasy will participate this year in a series of art events, while some of the Rolls-Royce showrooms in turn will arrange viewings for our brand.
