How can you inspect on your vehicle tires

One of the easiest things that you can inspect on your vehicle is your tires. Before getting in your vehicle in the morning or just after putting gas in, check out your tires. Start by just looking at them. Look for cracking on the sidewalls, tread depth, bulging, and wear. It is also good to have a tire gauge in your vehicle and check your tire pressures at least once a month including your spare.

Another good tip is every 6,000 miles have your tires rotated and balanced. This will let them wear evenly. You can do this every other oil change and about once a year have your vehicle aligned. Most people associate vibration in the steering wheel as an alignment problem when in fact it is usually a tire out of balance. When your car pulls to one side or another it is most likely an alignment problem. It is possible that a tire has a broken or slipped belt which will also cause it to pull. With the temperatures we get in Colorado it is very hard on the roads which is very hard on tires. Remember; check your tires regularly because when they go bad it is going to be on a highway during rush hour or out in the country where there is nobody to help and your spare is flat.
