Fiat: "2009 was good, 2010 will be even better"

Sergio Marchionne said Fiat end 2009 with results above analysts' expectations. The financial results recorded by Fiat in 2009 is shaping up to be better than the estimates of specialists, as stated by CEO Sergio Marchionne.

Marchionne said the results were good even if there were no government aid. Fiat Group boss to say that given the fact that the government will not grant tax exemptions in 2010 for the automotive market, Fiat will be able to resist and it hit and even in these circumstances will be an increase over 2009 .

Thus, Fiat is astepata to an operating profit of 1 billion euros and a net loss of 470 million euros. In May last year, Fiat has set a target of 100 million euros and net profit of one billion euros to operating profit.

Analysts say that because of certain special circumstances, such as devaluation of currency, Fiat has managed to achieve target for net profit, but results are still more than expected.
