End of road for Cadillac STS

Last copy Cadillac STS left the production lines over the weekend, leaving the plant instead of modernizing the operations of Lansing, Michigan.

Following these transactions, will begin production early next year's compact sedan Cadillac ATS.

As was announced a while, STS and DTS models (whose production will stop in July this year) will be replaced with XTS's sedan, which in turn will be launched by end of 2012 or first months of 2013.

In respect of the Cadillac STS, he was released in August 2004, he managed to find the American brand in total over 125,000 customers. STS initially started as a way of fitting the model version of Seville. Called Seville Touring Sedan (hence the initials come), STS was one of the first models to benefit from Northstar V8 engine - modular propeller gave a deserved brand differentiation in the General Motors portfolio.

Despite halting production of STS, workers at the Lansing plant will have enough work - all assembled here CTS model.
