BRABUS GL 63 Biturbo
Strong as a bull, sporting yet elegant, the new BRABUS GL 63 Biturbo, which celebrated its world debut at DUBAI International Motor Show, combines the three attributes tending to perfection.
With this luxury SUV BRABUS expand their impressive portfolio of exclusive cars capable of extraordinary performance. 4x4 SUV is powered by the BRABUS B63 Biturbo 6.3-liter V8 and 650 hp / 478 kW, which has a maximum speed of 300 km / h. Video, SUV version is distinguished by extremely stylish and WIDESTAR BRABUS 23-inch steel wheels. Part of the equipment standard is an exclusive leather interior Alcantara and carbon fiber. GL 63 Biturbo is made in limited series and has an initial price of 368,000 Euros.
BRABUS has provided high performance engine with 8-valve 4-cylinder model with a ML63 AMG biturbo and more powerful version fitted to the Mercedes SUV. Thus, the maker of luxury cars from Bottrop GL63 model amounted to a new standard of performance.
Biturbo system is another feature typical BRABUS high-tech. BRABUS specialists have designed a special exhaust gallery with integrated space for the turbine and bypass valve V8 engine. For a faster reaction, turbines have relatively small dimensions and both galleries were designed for use to act exhaust gas turbines only three of the four cylinders on each side.
The turbines themselves are specially designed for specialists BRABUS. Normal type V engines are equipped with two turbines that rotate to the right. Which results in a slower response on the right side of the engine because the air that enters through the right side requires a more complicated route to escape than in the left engine. To resolve this problem, specialists have developed the BRABUS cylinders right from the turbine which rotates to the left, thus obtaining the perfect dynamic for the exhaust gases.
Biturbo system also includes a generous sized intercooler for cooling water intake, and a double manifold with sport air filters and Biturbo BRABUS logo. High performance catalytic converters reduce pressure behind the turbine and exhaust emissions.
Mechanical parts of engine components are adapted supplementary with forged pistons and a compression ratio reduced to 9.0:1. New engine electronics with special mapping for ignition and injection, adapted technology and management system turbo boost pressure plays a major role. together ensure not only maximum power, but clean emissions, which ensure compliance with Euro IV standards. Like all BRABUS engines, B63 Biturbo is lubricated exclusively with ARAL high-performance synthetic oil.
BRABUS GL 63 Biturbo engine ranks among the most powerful SUVs in the world. It produces 650 hp / 478 kW at a speed of 6,200 rpm. Maximum torque of 850 Nm is available on a beach between 3000 and 5000 rpm.
In combination with a modified automatic transmission 7G-TRONIC SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed and a wheel drive, this engine is capable of performing unimaginable for a vehicle of this type: GL63 Biturbo BRABUS sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.7 seconds and an electronically limited speed of 300 km / h.
Of course, the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle, tires, suspension and brakes are all adapted to this enormous performance potential.
Version elegant BRABUS WIDESTAR with its extensions to add wings of 6 cm width GL 63 Biturbo. WIDESTAR front spoiler has been tested in wind tunnel to reduce lift on the front axle and thus offering maximum stability of direction at high speed. Large holes optimizes ventilation air entering the engine and brakes. For a better safety LEDs were added to run by day and four auxiliary lights.
Thresholds designed specifically ensure a pleasant transition between front and rear wings. Integrated Lights facilitate boarding and disembarking at night.
Aerodynamic properties were optimized by a spoiler on the roof and a lower rear spoiler with built-in speaker. It is specifically designed to fit perfectly into all the wings extended and the stainless steel sport exhaust system.
Extensions of wings generous bolide gives enough room for BRABUS Monoblock E wheels in size 11Jx23 Platinum Edition. These nine-spoke wheels with steel and have a center can be equipped with high performance tires Pirelli or Yokohama, with sizes up to 305/30 R 23.
