Audi has confirmed that work on the new model A2
Chief executive of Audi, Rupert Stadler confirmed that the automaker from Ingolstadt working on the new Audi A2. In an interview with the British publication Autocar Stadler said that "... we baptized future model A1 chance, but to leave room to another product, another concept, located in A3."
Audi A2 platform is based on the model A1 and under the hood will have an electric propulsion system. The official state still held that despite the similarities, between A2 and VW Up! are not related.
The vehicle Audi A2 (pictured) was present in the market between 2000 and 2005, but its sales were below expectations. Case - nonconformist design and poor performance. During the five years that car was sold; this was sold in just 176,377 units worldwide.
