Audi A1 Enter the Scene

Audi officials have confirmed that the Audi A1 will enter series production in October this year.
In an interview with the Belgian press, Alfons Dinter, chief Audi plant in Belgium, confirmed that the Audi A1 will enter series production in October. Moreover, it will be produced in the Belgian plants, for which they will be closed from Monday for five weeks, to adapt the production A1.
Audi A1 is expected in showrooms European sites in early 2010.
According to statements Alfons Dinter, A1 will be initially available in three-door version, version 5, Sportback followed shortly.
Audi A1 is not exactly a surprise. Concern in german in 2007 prefaced by Metroproject Quattro priectul 2007 and more recently A1 Sportback Concept, shown at Paris last year.
The model number will remain faithful to the two concepts, but certain details of a style will fail: the car doors without frame or bar-aggressive spoiler design. Also, the note will acquire a more "earthly".
Longer and more wide than a Mini, "superminimum the" Audi A1 will be offered with a wide variety of four-cylinder motor, both diesel and gasoline, all with direct injection. Among them are already present engine VW 1.2 TSI and 1.4.
Also consider the Audi version Cabriolet soft-top, which will make appearance in the future, and a top-end model with an S1 estimated to be around 200 HP.
